So we are in St. Augustine Beach on vacation. Jeff was sleeping this morning. Jack was eating breakfast and watching television. I was folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher, and making sure everything was picked up. The thought hit me that I would be finished with my daily "chores" in a very short period of time. Why? Simplicity.
There is a serving for 6 in dishes, 6 sets of towels, and that's pretty much it! We brought 7 days worth of clothes. Simplicity! There are minimum groceries. There are minimum cooking accessories. But we've made do with what we have. There are empty cabinets. And for this week that will be PLENTY! Why can't this be plenty every day of the year? It should.
I've come to ponder whether our life would be easier to manage with LESS, no more. I think the answer is yes! Just before we left for vacation I donated a trunk-load of items to Goodwill. It's a start to simplifying our life. I think I am planning to continue the trend once we get home.
